Severe thunderstorms and heavy rains interrupted the opening match of Group F between Sweden and Chile at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup Tuesday afternoon.

Referee Lucila Venegas halted play in the 73rd minute – around 7:33 p.m. local time (1:33 p.m. ET) – with the score tied 0-0 as the skies opened up and thunder roared above Roazhon Park in Rennes, which is located near France’s northwest coast between Le Havre and Nantes.

Play is expected to resume at 8:12 p.m., roughly 39 minutes after play stopped.

Some fans made the best of the situation by turning on their mobile phones’ flashlights and dancing to music at their seats.

Sweden and Thailand are in Group F with the United States and Thailand, which kick off in Reims at 3 p.m. ET Tuesday.

The Swedes and U.S. were expected to easily coast through their first two matches before playing one another in Le Havre June 22.
