Orlando City signed defender Chris Shuler and officially set its roster for Saturday’s season opener against D.C. United.
Shuler was a trialist who inked a two-year contract with the a club option. The free agent spent eight seasons at Real Salt Lake, including four under the direction of current Orlando City coach Jason Kreis.
The Lions went through the most roster changes among MLS teams. The Lions’ lineup includes four goalkeepers, nine defenders, 12 midfielders and four forwards. Paraguayan attacking midfielder Josué Colmán, two-time MLS assist king Sacha Kljestan and star striker Dom Dwyer occupy designated player spots.
Seven players are listed as internationals.
