U.S. women’s national team stars Ashlyn Harris and Ali Krieger were featured together as part of the Budweiser Super Bowl commercial released on Thursday.
The advertisement is centered around the tagline “look beyond the labels,” featuring inspirational figures such as Ken Nwadike Jr., the founder of the Free Hugs Project; and Hannah Gavios, a runner who completed the New York City marathon after being paralyzed by an attacker during a sexual assault.
“Let’s Go!” Krieger wrote on Twitter. “The Budweiser Super Bowl commercial is here. Every time I watch, I get to relive one of the best moments of my life with Ashlyn Harris. Cheers!”

The entire national team was featured in the video, showing a clip of the team in goggles spraying Budweiser in the locker room after winning their second consecutive World Cup in France last summer. The commercial then cuts to a clip of Harris and Krieger during the celebration as they clink two Budweiser beer bottles together.
Budweiser has been a long-standing sponsor of the national team, but the brand broke through this year to become the first beer sponsor for the NWSL. The partnership was announced in July following the hype of the World Cup, and Budweiser has since launched a campaign encouraging other brands to support women’s soccer.
