Seattle Reign FC forward Megan Rapinoe won’t be able to build on her strong start in NWSL play this season.
Rapinoe, who leads the league in shots (13) and is tied for second in goals (2), has suffered a left hamstring strain and has been listed as out for the Reign’s match against the North Carolina Courage Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Chicago will face Houston at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday during the NWSL’s other midweek matchup.
While Rapinoe is among the highest profile player to join the injury report, Utah’s Amy Rodriguez and Houston’s Kealia Ohai moved off the list last week following length recoveries from ACL injuries. Both played as subs during the weekend and did nothing to land back on the injury report.
