The Pride will welcome back its three U.S. women’s national team players — Alex Morgan, Ashlyn Harris and Ali Krieger — back to Orlando on Tuesday night.
The club will host a Champions Welcome Home Party at Lion’s Pride Orlando, 123 W. Church St. in Orlando, to celebrate the three players’ role in winning the Americans’ fourth World Cup title. The event will be free and starts at 7 p.m. The three players also will be honored at the Pride’s match against Sky Blue FC on Saturday. The Sky Blue match kicks off at 7:30 p.m. at Exploria Stadium.
Amid the celebration, all three American players will return to training with the Pride on Wednesday. The trio’s return will mark the final addition of international players for the Pride, bringing its total to nine. Scottish national Claire Emslie is expected to report to training on Tuesday. Morgan, Harris and Krieger will join Brazilians Marta and Camila, Australians Alanna Kennedy and Emily van Egmond and Canadian Shelina Zadorsky on the Pride roster.
