The National Women’s Soccer League rescinded the one-game suspension handed to Portland Thorns coach Mark Parsons last week by the NWSL Disciplinary Committee.
Parsons will be on the sideline April 15 when his team hosts the Orlando Pride.
The disciplinary committee originally issued the suspension and fine for “misconduct in his interactions with the officials” following Portland’s road match against North Carolina March 24. Parsons was dismissed by the official after a confrontation at the end of that game.
The Thorns appealed that decision and won.
The league did uphold the fine assessed to Parsons, according a statement released Friday, and the coach served the automatic one-game suspension for the dismissal when the Thorns beat the Chicago Red Stars 3-2 March 31.
The NWSL has rescinded Mark Parsons' one-game suspension, and he will be eligible to return for Portland Thorns FC's home opener on April 15.
