The National Women’s Soccer League offseason is fully underway, with the league announcing Monday 19 players available on the re-entry wire.

The players on the re-entry wire did not have their options picked up by their teams at the end of the 2019 season and are now eligible to join other teams. Of that group of 19, nine come from the Washington Spirit. The team finished fifth in 2019, four points out of a playoff spot in head coach Richie Burke’s first season in charge. Five Australian internationals also made the list, including the Spirit’s trio that went to the World Cup last summer.

Only the Orlando Pride and Utah Royals FC did not make any players eligible for the re-entry wire.

Teams have until 1 p.m. ET Tuesday, Nov. 5, to request players. Should more than one team request a player, the NWSL has ranked teams in a tiebreaker that flips the 2019 regular season table. The team with 2019’s worst record, the Orlando Pride, will be at the top of the order. Once a team wins a tiebreaker, it is moved to the bottom of the list.

The league plans to announce the results of the re-entry wire Tuesday, Nov. 5, at 3 p.m. ET.
