CARY, N.C. — Fans of the North Carolina Courage and North Carolina FC will soon be able to find their games on local television.

On Thursday, NCFC announced that it reached an agreement with the Capitol Broadcasting Company to broadcast 10 Courage games and 12 NCFC games through the remainder of the 2019 season on channels WRAL-2 and FOX50.

The first live broadcast will air this Saturday at 7:30 p.m. EST, as fans can watch USL Championship side North Carolina FC take on the Tampa Bay Rowdies on the road on WRAL-2. The first Courage broadcast will be on June 15, when the defending NWSL champs host the Portland Thorns in Cary, N.C. at 7:45 p.m. EST on WRAL-2.

“We are grateful for the continued support of our longtime partner, Capitol Broadcasting Company, carrying our games for the eighth consecutive year,” NCFC and Courage general manager Curt Johnson said in statement. “2019 is a massive year for our sport, both locally and nationally, and this broadcast schedule, and partnership with CBC, is a key ingredient as we work to make our games available to the broadest audience possible.”

Manning the play-by-play duties for the broadcasts will be Dean Linke, who returns for his 13th season as the voice of the North Carolina Football Club. For men’s NCFC games, Jason Garey – the 2005 Hermann Trophy winner at Maryland and 2008 MLS Cup champ with the Columbus Crew – will provide color commentary. For Courage games, former Virginia Tech midfielder Morgan Conklin will provide analysis.

“We are thrilled to once again be the broadcast home for the North Carolina Football Club and look forward to watching outstanding soccer on both WRAL2 and FOX 50 this season,” Joel Davis, the vice president of WRAL and FOX50 said in a statement. “This year, we are especially pleased that FOX 50 will be the home for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup and share in coverage for the NCFC. It’s an outstanding community partnership.”

The Courage, led by head coach Paul Riley, are 3-3-2 this season and in fourth place in the NWSL table. Seven Courage players are set to play in the 2019 Women’s World Cup in France.

NCFC, guided by former U.S. men’s national team coach Dave Sarachan, are 5-2-5 this season and in seventh place in the Eastern Conference table for the USL Championship.

All USL Championship games will still be streamed on ESPN+, while all NWSL games will continue to be streamed on Yahoo Sports. The NWSL has still not announced a national television deal.
