ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando City (6-10-1, 19 points) will take on LAFC (9-4-4, 31 points) without the services of centerback Lamine Sané, right back Scott Sutter or defensive midfielder Cristian Higuita.
All three have started at various points this season.
The trio didn’t travel with the club for Saturday’s match at Banc of California Stadium, which has been moved to 11 p.m. EST due to the excessive heat forecast that projects temperatures in excess of 100 degrees in the LA area.
Sané is dealing with a quad strain, Higuita and Sutter are both battling adductor injuries.
Higuita missed Orlando City’s match against Atlanta United and has been training to the side recently. He hasn’t played since starting in the club’s 3-0 loss to the Montreal Impact.
Sané started against Atlanta United on Saturday and was subbed off in the 68th minute.
Sutter got his first start since April 8 in Orlando City’s June 30 match against Atlanta United, though like Sané, he was subbed off in the 68th minute. This is a new injury for Sutter — he was out for two and a half months with a knee injury.
