On Frame: A conversation with Jonathan Lewis, plus Mike Watts USL update

“You know, sometimes I wish I could still be in New York getting the chance to play.” – Jonathan Lewis

“He’s the right player for Colorado.” – NYCFC head coach, Dome Torrent

NEW YORK — Jonathan Lewis feels he could have done more for New York City FC. He was traded to the Colorado Rapids May 7 and has three goals and two assists in six matches.  Pro Soccer USA’s Glenn Crooks sat down with Lewis after City’s 2-1 win over the Rapids on Saturday night.

“It was good to run out against these guys,” Lewis said. “You know, sometimes I wish I could still be in New York getting the chance to play.”

NYCFC coach Dome Torrent said Lewis is “the right player for Colorado.”

“I say to him good luck,” Torrent added. “He’s a good guy. He’s a good player, especially for this team.”

Also on this episode of On Frame, the voice of USL, Mike Watts, talks all things USL, including the potential for promotion/relegation.
