NEW YORK CITY — On this week’s On Frame, Pro Soccer USA’s Glenn Crooks talks to colleague Dylan Butler about Sunday’s Hudson River Derby at Red Bull Arena. Butler covers both the New York Red Bulls and New York City FC for PSUSA, so he has a unique perspective ahead of the match.
“Are you asking the Red Bulls supporters on Twitter?” Butler says on whether Chris Armas’ job has every been in jeopardy. “They are always a feisty group. He’s done a great job. I think he’d like to have some additional help during this transfer window.”
Erin Fish was imbedded with the United States women’s national team on the way to their second straight World Cup title as the content producer for the USWNT’s FIFA Twitter account. Fish was at training, on the bus rides, at the hotel and at all the matches and shares some stories from the inside.
“Personally my favorite moment is when Jess McDonald’s son got there,” Fish says, describing the arrival of McDonald’s 7-year old son, Jeremiah. “It has been an emotional journey for her to get to this point. When he showed up, they hugged and it was such an emotional moment.”
