New England Revolution homegrown midfielder Isaac Angking is on the move.
The 19 year-old will join the Charlotte Independence of the USL Championship for the remainder of the season, both teams announced Friday morning. The Revolution reserves the right to recall Angking back to Foxborough at any time.
Angking joined the Revolution last season as the club’s fourth homegrown player. He has made three MLS appearances since rising through the ranks of the team’s academy.
He has also represented the United States youth national teams at various levels and played at the 2018 Concacad U-20 Championship.
Angking is the fourth Revoluton player to go on loan this season. On Thursday, the club also announced Justin Rennicks’s loan to North Carolina FC.
Homegrown midfielder Zachary Herivaux and forward Brian Wright have also had loan stints with Birmingham Legion FC this season.
The Revolution host Los Angeles FC at Gillette Stadium on Saturday night.
