The Montreal Impact revealed details from their training camp schedule ahead of the 2020 Major League Soccer season.
Because of the team’s participation in the Concacaf Champions League, training camp is set to start on Jan. 14. The Impact will kick off their camp at Marie Victorin sports complex in eastern Montreal.
The Impact will then fly to Orlando, Fla. on Jan. 16 to continue their training until Jan. 23. The team will return to Montreal until Feb. 3 before traveling to St. Petersburg, Fla. for preseason friendlies. The teams and dates of the games have yet to be announced.
The Impact will fly directly from Florida to San Jose, Costa Rica for their Concacaf Champions League clash with Deportivo Saprissa. The Round of 16 game will be held at Estadio Ricardo Saprissa Aymá from Feb. 18-20.
The return leg between both club will be held at Montreal’s Olympic Stadium from Feb. 25-27. The Impact will play their MLS season opener against the New England Revolution on Feb. 29. That match will also be at Olympic Stadium.
The Impact will play their first home game at Stade Saputo in April. The official date, as well as the visiting team, has not yet been announced.
