Los Angeles FC reinforced its back line for the 2020 Major League Soccer campaign by bringing back a pair of defenders that have been part of the club’s early success.
Jordan Harvey and Dejan Jakovic were re-signed to deals Tuesday.
“Jordan and Dejan have been consummate professionals since joining the Club and we’re pleased to have re-signed both players,” LAFC general manager and executive vice president of soccer operations John Thorrington said in a statement released Tuesday. “They provide an invaluable veteran presence in the locker room, and their level of experience and dedication have been crucial to the team’s success the past two years.”
Harvey has been one of the most reliable defenders in MLS for over a decade, and he spent the last two seasons as a key member of Bob Bradley’s squad.
Jakovic returned to MLS for LAFC’s expansion season and he made 18 appearances in 2018 and 2019. He also had a five-year stint with D.C. United from 2009-2014.
