LAFC host Vancouver Whitecaps to continue difficult stretch

LAFC are looking to avenge their first loss of the season, a 1-0 defeat by the Vancouver Whitecaps at BC Place in April

Los Angeles FC continue their stretch of four matches in 10 days with their Saturday night matchup against the Vancouver Whitecaps. They are coming off a decisive 5-1 win Wednesday on the road over Sporting Kansas City with goals from five different players.

LAFC will be without goalkeeper Tyler Miller and defender Walker Zimmerman, who are both with the United States national team for the Gold Cup. As far as injuries, midfielder Alejandro Guido is listed as questionable due to a quadriceps strain, and Danilo Silva (hamstring strain) and Javier Perez (left ACL tear) are both out for this match.

This will be the fourth meeting all-time between LAFC and Vancouver, with each team previously earning a win of their own, along with one draw. Their last meeting was on April 17 in Vancouver, which ended with LAFC walking away with their first loss of the season. Vancouver won the match, 1-0, with the lone goal from Hwang In-beom in the 27th minute.

The officials for this match are:
Allen Chapman (referee)
Jeremy Hanson (AR1)
Jason White (AR2)
Baldomero Toledo (4th)
Guido Gonzalez, Jr. (VAR)
Chris Elliot (AVAR).

After this match, LAFC will host the Portland Timbers Wednesday in the U.S. Open Cup quarterfinals before traveling to Houston to meet the Dynamo on July 12.
