Major League announced the official team schedules for the 2019 season Monday, offering LAFC fans a first glimpse at what the next season will bring for the team. Unlike in its inaugural year, the club will have a home stadium from the first match of the season, kicking off league play with a home game against Sporting Kansas City on Sunday, March 3.

Last year’s meetings between the LA Galaxy and LAFC were blockbuster events. Through a series of three games, the two clubs forged an indelible rivalry on and off the field. The Galaxy swept the series of meetings, starting with an explosive comeback win in Zlatan Ibrahimović’s MLS debut and fizzling to a pair of draws in the team’s final two matches.
A win against the Galaxy — at home in Banc of California Stadium, or on the road only 12 miles away at StubHub Center — will be on the top of the club’s priority list heading into its sophomore season. But fans will have to wait until Friday, July 19 to see the teams square off on Galaxy turf. They will return barely a month later on August 25 to rematch at Banc of California stadium, meeting one less time in the 2019 season.
The club will also take on the Seattle Sounders in back-to-back matchups in April, and face FC Dallas in consecutive games in May. LAFC will also host reigning MLS Cup champions Atlanta United on July 27, and will host the brand new FC Cincinnati expansion team on April 13.
Season memberships are now on-sale starting at $422, and single-game tickets will be made available closer to the home opener.
