Antuna joined the Galaxy in January 2019 on loan from Manchester City, and had previously been on-loan with FC Groningen of the Netherlands top division.
Before signing with Manchester City, Antuna was part of the Santos Laguna Academy beginning in 2012, making his first appearance with the Santos first team in 2017.

Antuna had a stellar run with the Mexican National Team in 2019, scoring four goals in the group stage of the Gold Cup and making an appearance in the Gold Cup Final that Mexico would end up winning. His run in this tournament gave Antuna attention internationally, as well as an increased presence and role with Gerardo “Tata” Martino’s El Tri.
