The LA Galaxy re-signed midfielder Emmanuel Boateng. The details of his contract were not included in Monday’s announcement.
“We are excited that Ema will be returning to LA Galaxy,” club general manager Dennis te Kloese said in the announcement. “Ema is a talented young player who brings excitement and depth to our roster. We look forward to his continued development as a player and future contributions to our team.”
Boateng joined the Galaxy ahead of the 2016 season, earning eight goals and 12 assists in 87 appearances with the club. Previously Boateng had played with Sweden top division side Helsingborgs IF from 2013-2016.
The Galaxy will begin preseason next week, and still have several roster moves that need to fall into place before the season starts.
Re-signing Boateng moves head coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto and the front office one step closer to being ready for the MLS regular-season home opener on March 2 against the Chicago Fire.
