The LA Galaxy continue to settle in from a tumultuous offseason. Here is a round-up of LA Galaxy news from the last week:

International call-ups

Sebastian Lletget (USA) and Jonathan Dos Santos (MEX) each were called up to their respective national team training camps this week in preparation for the international dates coming at the end of March.

Lletget and the USMNT will face Ecuador March 21 at Orlando City Stadium and Chile March 26 at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston. Dos Santos and the Mexican National Team will face Chile March 21 at SDCCU Stadium in San Diego, Calif. and Paraguay March 26 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.

Because these are official FIFA dates, no Galaxy games were scheduled during this time and any time missed by either player would most likely be for recovery purposes. The Galaxy’s next match after these dates is March 31 at home against the Portland Timbers.

Injury updates

Injuries are already piling up for the Galaxy. Several key players are expected to miss this weekend’s match against Minnesota due to injury. Head coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto addressed the media Thursday following training to give updates on specific injuries.

Forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic and midfielder Romain Alessandrini did not participate in training this week, each attending to their respective injuries. Both are expected to be available for the Galaxy’s March 31 clash against Portland. Lletget, who broke his nose at the Galaxy’s last match in Dallas, has been participating in training and is expected to be available for this Saturday.

Galaxy loan Arellano to Orange County SC

Defender Hugo Arellano has been loaned to USL Championship side Orange County SC for the 2019 season, but can be recalled by the Galaxy at anytime. Arellano has spent the majority of his time in the Galaxy organization with Galaxy II, making 40 appearances since 2017.
