The LA Galaxy will host FC Golden State Force in the fourth round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup tournament at 10:30 p.m. ET Wednesday at the StubHub Center Track and Field Stadium in Carson, Calif.
Golden State, a Premier Development League side, is one of three amateur teams remaining in the tournament, along with Miami United FC and NTX Rayados. The amateur team to make it the farthest in the tournament earns $25,000, and all three teams are set to play against MLS sides Wednesday.
The LA Galaxy are expected to rotate their lineup for the match, as it comes in a stretch of five MLS matches within a 19-day span. Both Dos Santos brothers and Ola Kamara are unavailable due to international duty, but probably would have taken a rest for this match anyway. Generally speaking, the Galaxy have used a second-string squad to start previous years’ Open Cup matches and brought in key starters for reinforcements, if necessary.
Parking at StubHub Center is free. Entry is through Gate A. For those following along at home, check back closer to kickoff for a live stream of the event on ProSoccerUSA.com.
