The LA Galaxy have announced their preseason schedule ahead of their 25th MLS season, including a training session open to fans followed by a barbecue with Galaxy players, staff and alumni. The Galaxy will kick off their season March 1 in Houston against the Dynamo.
The team will report for training the week of January 20, with the open training session on February 8 at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif. This will be fans’ first opportunity to see the stadium’s new “safe-standing” supporters section.
For their first preseason match of the year, the Galaxy will face Toronto FC as part of a doubleheader on February 15 at Dignity Health Sports Park. Chicago Fire FC and the Colorado Rapids will face off in the first match of the day. The matchups shuffle in another doubleheader, with the Galaxy facing Chicago while Colorado will take on Toronto on February 22.
The entire MLS regular season will be announced at a later date, but the Galaxy have several dates already known. After the season-opener against the Dynamo, the Galaxy meet the Vancouver Whitecaps March 7 in their home opener. The following week, the Galaxy will travel to Miami to take on Inter Miami CF for the expansion side’s first MLS home game.
