First MLS combine games kick off Saturday at Orlando City Stadium

Two games will be held at Orlando City Stadium today to kick off the Major League Soccer combine.

The first game at 12:30 p.m. pits Team Nemeziz against Team Predator, followed by a 2:30 p.m. game between Team X and Team Tango.

The coaching staffs of all 23 MLS teams began to arrive at the stadium Saturday morning. They could be seen roaming the halls and walking the sideline of the pitch.

Generation adidas player Mo Adams of Syracuse University, placed on Team Predator, will not compete. The English midfielder is dealing with immigration issues, according to a spokesman for MLS.

After arriving in Orlando on Thursday, the more than 70 players participating in the combine underwent physical examinations and skills tests. Saturday’s games are the first of six total that will be played. The others will take place on Monday and Wednesday.

All games will be held at Orlando City Stadium and are open and free to the public. No ticket is required. Gates open an hour before the start of the first match each day. All combine matches also will be streamed live on MLSsoccer.com and the MLS YouTube Channel.
