FRISCO, Texas — FC Dallas exercised four contract options going into the 2019 offseason. The roster moves bring the number of players on the squad to 26.
Third-string keeper Kyle Zobeck, defender Ryan Hollingshead and midfielders Jacori Hayes and Victor Ullo all had their options picked up. The club has also offered midfielder Tesho Akindele a new contract.
FC Dallas declined the options of defenders Kris Reaves, Jordan Cano, Maynor Figueroa, midfielders Roland Lamah and Abel Aguilar, and forward Adonijah Reid.
Defender Chris Richards, who is on loan at Bayern Munich, is also apart of the group of players under contract for 2019.
The roster moves begin an offseason of heavy change for FC Dallas. Last week, head coach Oscar Pareja and the team agreed to part ways. Goal.com reported Pareja will be going to Club Tijuana in Mexico’s Liga MX. The search has begun for a new head coach, and the list of candidates includes United States Under-20 coach Tab Ramos, current FC Dallas assistant Marco Ferruzzi and FC Dallas academy director Luchi Gonzalez, according to MLSSoccer.com.
