Nashville SC announced on Monday that season ticket memberships for the 2020 Major League Soccer campaign are now on sale.
The 2020 season will be Nashville SC’s first in MLS. The team currently plays in the second-tier USL Championship.
“Nashville and Tennessee have continued to show their support for their [sports] teams, and we are excited about the opportunity to see soccer in Nashville stand alongside the incredible attendances shown throughout Major League Soccer,” Nashville SC chief executive officer Ian Ayre said in a release. “I’ve been blown away by the engagement our supporters and the community have shown the club since its inception, and I look forward to our ongoing partnership as we build a club that is uniquely for Nashville, by Nashville.”
Fans can register for tickets on the team’s website.
Prices range from $425 for supporters’ section and north end seats to $3,400 for field level. In 2019, the average MLS supporters’ section season ticket cost $397 for new members, according to data collected by Big D Soccer. An Atlanta United ticket was most expensive at $540. Real Salt Lake offered the cheapest ticket at $280.
FC Cincinnati, which moved up from USL to MLS in 2019, charged $295 per supporters’ section season ticket.
Nashville SC will play its first two MLS seasons at Nissan Stadium, the home of the National Football League’s Tennessee Titans. It will play two USL games at Nissan Stadium this season: July 27 against Indy Eleven and Oct. 12 versus North Carolina FC.
The club hopes to have its soccer-specific stadium at the Fairgrounds just south of Downtown Nashville ready by 2022.
Ayre and general manager Mike Jacobs already have begun constructing Nashville SC’s MLS staff and roster. Current coach Gary Smith will remain in his position. Smith won the 2010 MLS Cup with the Colorado Rapids.
Daniel Ríos, Cameron Lancaster, Derrick Jones and David Accam are four players who will join the team in MLS.
Nashville SC is currently in fifth place in the USL Championship’s Eastern Conference with 29 points.
