Born in Mexico but raised in the Dallas, Texas suburb of Wylie, Ulloa joined the FC Dallas academy in 2009 before signing with the club’s senior team in 2010.
Ulloa recorded five goals in 144 appearances with FC Dallas, but was traded to Cincinnati last year in a deal worth up to $250,000. He scored one goal in 26 appearances for Cincinnati, which finished the 2018 season last in the Eastern Conference.
Ulloa thanked Cincinnati for his time at the club in a brief statement posted to Twitter on Wednesday morning.
Inter Miami is in the process of buildings its team ahead of the 2020 season. Ulloa would be the club’s sixth signing, joining defender Christian Makoun, midfielders Matias Pellegrini, George Acosta, and David Norman Jr., and striker Julian Carranza.
