The Colorado Rapids signed French-born Ivorian striker Yannick Boli from Dàlián Yīfāng of the Chinese Super League, the club announced Thursday.
The MLS club signed Boli, 30, to a one-year deal using Targeted Allocation Money, pending the receipt of his visa and international transfer.
“Yannick is a very strong addition to our attack,” said Executive Vice President and General Manager Padraig Smith in a club statement.
“He’s a natural goal-scorer, and his pace and boldness inside the box will help create space for others. We look forward to welcoming him to Colorado.”
Boli made 24 appearances for Dàlián Yīfāng, scoring 16 goals. He has had stints at Paris Saint-Germain, Le Havre and Nimes in French soccer, as well as Bulgarian side Chernomorets, Ukranian side Zorya, and Anzhi of the Russian league.
